As some of you may know, I recently changed brokers and have moved to the newly opened Coldwell Banker Premier (CBP) office in Harrisonburg VA. For me, it has been a great opportunity to be a part of a new team, opening a new office with a well established real estate company. In addition, it has been an opportunity to grow our brand recognition in the Shenandoah Valley with current offices in the WV panhandle, Winchester, Fort Royal, and Mount Jackson, VA. I also chose CBP so I could be a part of a team that encourages me and provides great examples of how to be a better agent for my clients. So you may be asking why I am writing this blog about my career choices when it is supposed to be about you as a buyer or seller. Well let's discuss why my choices are great choices for you as well.

I was a manager for many years in corporate America and every year we conducted grass roots meetings and surveys asking our employees what they liked best about their place of employment. The number one result every year was they felt valued and listened to by the company. If the agents are ranking Coldwell Banker as #1, then they are appreciated and happy with what the company is offering them. Agents satisfied with their brokerage enthusiastically provide excellent customer service day in and day out to their clients and customers. You will have access to my website that will allow you to not only save searches and receive notifications but access to my mobile app. This mobile app is very useful when you are driving neighborhoods and come across a newly listed property. The app will find your location, list properties near you, and allow you to send me a question or schedule a showing. As your Realtor I will assist with your home buying process from start to finish which includes finding the right lender, negotiating hard on your behalf, assisting with the home inspections, and moving you successfully to closing.

I believe in order to provide the best service to the community, you have to be involved in the community. If you have visited my Facebook page @SLTreadway you will notice my posts about my three schnoodles, Ruthie Ann, Peggy Sue, and Buckley Joe so I am very proud to be a part of the Homes for Dogs Project. The Homes for Dogs project partners with Adopt-a-pet.com to assist with finding adoptable dogs (and now all pets) a home of their own. We have been finding you homes for over 100 years, so of course it is only fitting for us to help in finding our best friends a home as well. Look for our national adoption weekend later in September where agents get together and volunteer at local shelters with a goal of finding as many furry friends homes as possible.

In a broader sense of community, my amazing broker, Steve Dubrueler, is right now climbing Mt Everest to raise money for St Jude's in an event called, Climb for Kids.
